WHAT WE DO
Saanich Volunteer Services matches people who need help with people eager to provide it.
Delivering food hampers, driving to appointments, visiting for companionship, helping with light yard work, doing minor home repairs and preparing income tax returns are just a few of the ways we contribute to a healthy Saanich.
Our volunteers support adults over nineteen who need a hand to continue living independently, and our staff provide them with access to a wealth of information about community services and programs that meet clients' unique needs.
A COMMUNITY OF NEIGHBOURS HELPING NEIGHBOURS
GET INVOLVED
DONATE
Our organization runs with volunteers and a small core of four staff members.
We accept donations to continue to provide our programs, improve our services, and to ensure we can continue to meet an ever-widening need in our Saanich community.
If you are able to donate, you will receive a charitable tax receipt for donations over $25.
“Retirement meant it was time for me to offer my services to organizations where I could make a difference in other people’s lives.
Little did I realize how good it made me feel to help others live a better life because we CARED.”
-Marie, Volunteer
“The SVSS shopping bus excursion is the highlight of the week for us. Not only do we get the weekly shopping done, with all the help we need, we also get to know like-minded people.
To meet others is extremely important for every one’s mental well-being. We look forward to our weekly adventure, combining pleasure with the necessities of life.”
- Sven Erik, Client
