Trevor, Board member
Trevor, Board member

Trevor Botkin (aka. T-Bot) is no stranger to volunteerism or giving back to community as a board member at Saanich Volunteer Services Society. He has a long history of supporting various charities such as Habitat for Humanity, HeroWork, Soap For Hope Canada, and now, SVSS. In addition to having an energetic and contagiously enthusiastic personality, Trevor brings with him more than 25 years of construction experience both as a Red Seal Journey Carpenter and Construction Superintendent, and a reputation as a strong community leader. In 2022, Trevor was honored to be named a Paul Harris Fellow by Rotary Club of Victoria, and an Honorary Citizen of Victoria B.C. These acknowledgments were presented to him not only for his service through HeroWork, but also for sharing his lived experience and recovery from addiction through a variety of community and construction industry initiatives.

He is excited to join the board at SVSS and looks forward to continuing to contribute to the non-profit world as he advises SVSS in planning more space for our services to grow into. Thank you to Trevor for his willingness to give back to his community and share his experience with the board and SVSS.

Saanich Volunteer Services Society is stepping into the modern era with fiber optic cabling, if not with the beautiful heritage building we call 'home'. As a result, our telephones may be interrupted on October 29, 2024. If you are unable to connect with our office at any point via telephone, please feel free to email our office at contactus@saanichvolunteers.org.

We will be sure to return your email as quickly as we are able. Thank you for your patience as we modernize and improve our service.

Saanich Volunteer Services Society will remain open for regular business throughout August. Clients may access regular services such as appointment drives, meal delivery and hamper delivery. Some of our programs such as AMD Group as well as Tea and Talk will be on holiday along with our activity hosts. Our full programming options will return in September, watch for our next newsletter coming out at the end of August.
